Browse 360 photos/screenshots hosted on VRCHIVE [r3]
Hi folks, We present the alpha build of VRCHIVE for GearVR. It comes with quite a few features and we need your help figuring out what feels good and what feels unnecessary. The main goals with this build are as follows: - Let people who upload stereo and mono 360 photos/screenshots to VRCHIVE's website view them on GearVR - Let people cache what they look at, their favorites, and their uploads from vrchive.com (see: sync button in settings) - Let people discover and like new places with several sorting options - Let people customize the number of tiles in the gallery grid - Let people browse hands-free [removed] (with this setting enabled, nodding yes is a tap and nodding no is back button. It is a work in progress, and off by default.) - Let people browse in mono mode for faster loading times - Support and categorization for real world photos because the app is agnostic to content's reality of origin Tips/notes: Swipe up and down inside a photo to rotate the panorama (great if sitting or laying back). Double tap inside a photo to activate slideshow mode. Double tap again to change slide duration or turn it off. If you want to show support or keep up to date with the happenings of VRCHIVE, we'd love a follow on Twitter or Facebook. vrchive.com is currently in closed beta fine tuning. If you want to help us with the website, email us asking for access and we'll get back to you when we are ready for more people. :)
r3 | alpha : New UI, performance improvements. 8X MSAA! Removed hands free for now until it works better. Added stereo thumbnail toggle to settings. r2 | alpha : Faster and more comfortable image loading, testing new 3d loading transition for grid browse mode. This build does not yet stream all photos on VRCHIVE, soon though. So check back for daily/weekly updates. r1 | alpha : First release.
